1Agreement to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time by updating this page, with the revised version effective when posted. Your continued use of the website after a change means you accept it. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and limited permission to access and use the website for the purpose of researching and planning travel with us. This permission does not include any resale or commercial use of the site or its content.

2Use of the website

When using this website you agree not to:

• use automated means to scrape, harvest or copy content or data from the site;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system, or probe or test its vulnerability;
• circumvent, disable or interfere with security-related features;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation;
• submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, including in an enquiry or booking form;
• use the site in any way that is unlawful, or that could damage, disable or impair it or interfere with another party's use of it.

We may suspend or withdraw access to the website, in whole or in part, without notice.

3Content and intellectual property

All material on this website — including text, itineraries, photographs, graphics, logos, page design and underlying code — is owned by or licensed to Asante and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws. You may view the site and print or download extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use in planning a trip with us. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or commercially exploit any part of the site without our prior written consent.

Sample itineraries and prices shown on the site are illustrative examples of trips we can arrange. They are not offers capable of acceptance, and the final itinerary and price for your trip will be set out in your personal quote.

4Enquiries, quotes and bookings

When you send an enquiry or request a quote through the site, you are asking us to prepare a proposal — you are not making a booking, and no contract exists at that stage. We will respond with a tailored itinerary and price.

A booking is only confirmed when we have issued a written confirmation and received the required deposit, and it is then governed by our Booking Terms & Conditions. Those terms set out the payment schedule, what your price includes and excludes, and the cancellation and amendment charges that apply. Deposits are generally non-refundable because we commit funds to lodges, permits and flights on your behalf as soon as you confirm. Please read your quote and booking terms carefully before you pay.

5Pricing, availability and errors

Prices and availability are subject to change until your booking is confirmed. Quotes are typically valid for a limited period stated on the quote, and depend on rooms, permits, park fees and flights still being available at the quoted rates.

We take care to describe our trips and prices accurately, but the site may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to descriptions, inclusions, pricing or availability. We reserve the right to correct any such error and to cancel or decline a request affected by an obvious error, even after it has been submitted. Gorilla and chimpanzee permit fees, park fees, fuel and government taxes are set by third parties and may change with little or no notice.

6Travel arrangements and suppliers

Your safari is delivered with the help of independent suppliers — lodges, camps, hotels, airlines, park authorities, permit offices, transport companies and local guides. We select these suppliers with care and coordinate your trip, but we do not own or control them, and they provide their services subject to their own terms and conditions.

Wildlife sightings, including gorilla and Big Five encounters, cannot be guaranteed. Itineraries may need to change during your trip because of weather, road and park conditions, wildlife movements, flight schedules, supplier availability or matters of safety. Where a change is necessary we will arrange the best available alternative of a comparable standard.

7Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. You use the website, and rely on its content, at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asante and its directors, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of profit, opportunity or enjoyment, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — this website.

Nothing in these Terms of Use limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. The extent of our responsibility for a trip you have booked is governed by our Booking Terms & Conditions and applicable law, not by this page.

8Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Asante and its directors, employees and agents from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms of Use, your misuse of the website, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

9Third-party links

This website may contain links to, or embedded content from, third-party websites and services — for example mapping providers on our itinerary pages. These are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices, and a link does not imply our endorsement. Accessing a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's terms.

10Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms. You also acknowledge that no transmission of information over the internet is completely secure, and that email correspondence may be intercepted or delayed.

11Governing law

These Terms of Use and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the website are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

12Changes and general terms

These Terms of Use, together with any documents they expressly refer to, are the entire agreement between you and Asante regarding your use of the website. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version is always the one posted here.
